One family – damaged by tragedy. A father who drinks too much; an absentee, professionally-driven mother. Twin girls left in the middle.
Kaeleigh and Raeanne are identical twins – each with their own deep, dark secret. One daughter attracts the inappropriate attention of their damaged father. The other daughter, usually ignored, takes part in riskier and riskier behavior just screaming to be heard. Both girls suffer in silence, living behind the facade of a perfect, all-American family.
Ellen Hopkins has written another gripping novel in verse that will leave you on the edge of your seat. If you are at all familiar with her work you know to expect the unexpected. Prepare for your jaw to drop when you reach the end of this gripping tale. You absolutely won’t believe your eyes.

If you liked this book, you must watch the movie “A tale of two sisters” You’ll notice the similarities. The movie has subtitles though as it is a Korean film, but once you get into it they are easily over looked. 🙂

I’m 15 and i loved this story. It grabbed my attention from the beginning and trust me, read the whole thing because you are going to be so surprised and thrilled. The whole story you think that everyone is messed up when really just one person is. Please read this novel because your going to love it.

[…] All in all, SUCH A PRETTY GIRL is a book to read. If you’ve enjoyed Ellen Hopkins’ IDENTICAL or Elizabeth Scott’s LIVING DEAD GIRL you probably will enjoy SUCH A PRETTY […]

This book is absolutley fabulous.
If you love it and you havn’t read any of her others, don’t read them in the wrong order.
Crank
Glass
then burned or impulse…whatever, and save this one for last.
The twist is absolutley INCREDIBLE.
You might have to re-read it though, because I didn’t get it at first, then I was like Ohhhh okay.
Glass is also her best book. but read crank first.

i have read crank, glass, burn, and impuls… i loved them all but however i think you should write another book that goes with burn.. dont get me wrong i loved it but to me it justs stops… and lets just say in impulse he was the last one i thought would kill himself… and crank and glass, they where so good with detail and you didnt want to stop reading… thats the main reason i love your books.. because you dont want to stop reading… as your reading you can picture it in you mind… thank you for writting such great books…
